About the tour

Two centuries of Jewish Buffalo

The story of Jewish Buffalo spans over two centuries — from the early settlers of the 1800s to the thriving community that endures today. Along the way came waves of growth, challenge, and renewal: from immigrants escaping poverty, to those affected by World War I, to Holocaust survivors who found refuge and rebuilt after World War II.

Through it all, Shuls, schools, and holy spaces served as pillars of strength and spirit. Our tour invites you to walk the path they walked — to remember, reflect, and reconnect with a powerful legacy that still echoes today.
